Real life scientist super sheroes! These STEMinists know how to make kids say Bazinga while also teaching them the bee species it’s named after. As IF/THEN ambassadors (www.ifthenshecan.org), these ladies have full-sized 3D printed statues of their likeness due to their initiatives in getting girls interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math). By incorporating art and other innovative methods to teach and communicate science, they inspire an interest in and passion for STEAM. Join Dr. Beata Mierzwa (molecular biologist, UCSD), Jasmine Sadler (rocket scientist, STEAM Collab), Dr. Claire Meaders (professor of biology, UCSD), Dr. Kimberley Miner (climate scientist, NASA), Sam Wynns (conservation biologist, Cabrillo National Monument) for a discussion about their path, education, STEM, and art as they share their passion and commitment to the next generation.
