Spring/Summer 2022 STEM Programs
Paid High School Summer Internship: The STEAM Collaborative is serving as the Camp Coordinator for Opportunities for Future Engineers, Researchers, and Scientists (OFFERS)! The Camp’s Summer Internship is a new program in the UC San Diego CREATE STEM Success Initiative (CSSI) and is financially supported by the generosity of the San Diego Foundation. The Communication and Presentation Through Science (CAPTS) training is a “near-peer” program where high school students learn science, communication, presentation and teaching skills and then put their newfound knowledge to work by teaching Science Labs to K-5 classrooms. The goal of this internship program is to have high school students act as role models and leaders for younger students in the OFFERS Summer Camps.
