STEAM Collab x Jacobs Center x YMCA
I am so proud to collab with the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation and the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA to design and train the Enrichment Leaders on STEAM Cultural Activities for students to do during Distance Learning Fatigue to assist with Learning Loss. I’m looking forward to seeing you again monthly thru June. Thank you for the opportunity!
A new part day academic enrichment program has opened at the Jacobs Center in partnership with the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA. The program, for Southeastern San Diego youth ages 5-14 years old, is being operated out of the Joe and Vi Jacobs Center Celebration Hall. This program will provide neighborhood families and youth a safe, social, and educational place to be between the hours of 2PM and 6PM, Monday through Friday. Program participants will receive a meal daily, as well as the opportunity to participate in enrichment program activities like Arts & Crafts, STEM, and Literacy education.
Please note: Financial assistance is available to help eligible families through Child Development Associates and the YMCA of San Diego County’s Childcare Resource Service. Financial assistance is also available through the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA’s scholarship program. Families should apply regardless of ability to pay!
