I’m originally from Detroit with my parents from Alabama and Mississippi. I’ve been living in San Diego for 7 years now and you all have helped me create my family away from family! I have church family, dance family, STEM family, and San Diego Black Professionals “meetup” family who I do life with. Yesterday, some of you mentioned that we first met after seeing me on a panel or a presentation. The STEAM Collaborative exists to exponentially increase equity in STEAM Education. I often have time for Questions, and usually get pretty interesting ones like “What is the coolest job you’ve had?” What is one question you would ask me if you and your child were in the audience for Q&A?

Day 4: Keep it REAL! Provide your unique solutions for problems you see in the community.

There are so many forums, surveys and focus groups to talk about problems in the community. Jas:Maven is one solution that brings you together with The Right People to have everyone achieve their goals. To the many problems facing inequity and keeping us segregated, what is your solution?
